Tried Bashamichi Sushi for the first time. We ordered the "Lover's Combo" sushi platter. It came with dragon roll, rainbow rolls, assorted nigiri and sashimi. Each piece was delicious. The fish was high quality and served at the perfect temperature. We also tried the Mixed Tempura for texture and it was good. Service was excellent and friendly. I recommend!

This place is not for the people who wants to eat fast food, you need to wait a long time for your food specially if the restaurant has a lot of customers. They probably will take between 40 minutes to 1 hour to serve you. They need to learn to serve all the food together for the same party and not 1 person and then the other person 20 minutes later… we ordered the Bashamishi combo, Tonkotsu ramen with the appetizer oysters. Everything was acceptable but not exceptional. I felt that the oysters were ok. Visited the restaurant again and ordered the lover’s plate sushi and sashimi and my friends said it was excellent. Ordered the mix tempura which was very good too. Again this place is to relax and talk with friends.

My boyfriend and I tried the lovers combo, two appetizers, and two bottles of sake. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The employees were nice and provided excellent service. Will definitely be back next time I am in town.

This restaurant was right next door to my hotel, just outside the side door. When I entered the restaurant, I noticed that many of the patrons were still wearing their coats. I was shortly seated and took my coat off, then it became apparent why everyone else still kept their coats on. It was just cold inside the restaurant. I put my coat back on and then ordered a Dragon Roll, some Sushi Rice, Miso Soup and a large Sapporo. Everything was perfect! The Dragon Roll was plated perfectly, the Miso was very hot and the Sushi Rice was delightful! The only downer was the cold room.

This is the best japanese restaurant I have eaten in the West Coast. Believe me. Don't be deceived by its humble appearance. This restaueant holds the most authentic and delicate flavors I have had in years. I had the Hamachi Toro Nigiri and it was a blast. The Yasai Tempura it's so delicate in nature and the Curry could not be more authentic. The chicken tempura is tender and the Curry Pasta is complex and with a lot of artistry in it instead of just boxed condiments. You need to try this place out if you like Japanese food.

The fish is so fresh and sweet! Definitely recommend! Will come again to try the ramen. The price is reasonable. You can park in the underground parking lot of the hotel next door. The bento comes with two sizes: two dishes or three dishes. Mine is two and it's enough for an adult.

A Hidden Gem Inside a La Quinta — And One of the Best Sushi Experiences I've Ever Had Tucked away inside a La Quinta Inn, of all places, this sushi restaurant is the very definition of a hidden gem. From the outside, you’d never guess what kind of culinary excellence is waiting within—but I’m grateful I listened to the local recommendation that brought me here. I ordered the Treasure Box, a chef’s selection of nine beautifully crafted items, and every single bite was a masterclass in balance, freshness, and artistry. From traditional favorites to daring flavors, the entire experience felt like a personal introduction to the chef’s creativity and skill. I even tried monkfish liver for the first time — rich, silky, and expertly prepared. The service was impeccable: warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was intimate and inviting, with a calm elegance that made it easy to forget I was dining just steps away from a hotel lobby. This is, without question, one of the best sushi meals I’ve ever had — and easily the most unexpected. A true sleeper spot that deserves far more recognition than its location suggests.

I had pretty low expectations for a sushi place attached to a La Quinta, but this place was spectacular. The fish was fresh and prepared well, the presentation was very nice, and sitting at the sushi bar was a cool experience. Service was a little slow, but they were absolutely packed with customers. It's not hard to see why. I've paid twice as much for sushi half as good. This place was excellent.
